One of Denmark’s most sought after  female jazz singers, Cathrine Legardh, is a huge vocal talent. Known for her sensual voice and a dead-sure phrasing, Cathrine is an energetic, petite, smiling and intense woman whose blue eyes communicate curiosity and happiness with life. Catherine is accompanied by a strong supporting line up comprised of Jakob Dinesen on tenor sax, piano and accordion player Francesco Cali, and the highly acclaimed bass player, Hugo Rasmussen.
On May16th, come and be seduced by the dulcet tones of a mermaid from the land of timeless fairy tales.

‘What a relaxing way to spend a summer evening. Legardh’s deep, clear voice was utterly soothing and most impressive, and the quartet’s rolling jazz had us tapping our feet and brought out the best in Legardh’s lilting accent… It’s safe to say that this charming show left its audience warm and just wanting more.’  – EDINBURGH INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL 2008

‘From the first bars you are just in so good and so safe company. Unerring intonation, sure communication of lyrics and a warm and well-balanced interpretation. The repertoire is well chosen from the great American, Swedish and Danish song-books – from delicate ballads to clever bebop.’                ***** BERLINGSKE (DK), DECEMBER 2008

‘When you first listen to the voice of this singer you might have the feeling you’re listening to a mature woman, who has a good mileage on the bumpy roads of jazz. However, Cathrine Legardh is 34, an energetic, petite, smiling and intense woman whose blue eyes communicate curiosity and happiness with life… And then there is the timing and the fullness of the trio behind her, flowing from the rich tradition of everlasting swing…’        – H. WOLSGAARD-IVERSEN (Chairman of the Ben Webster Foundation in DK)
