Talented bassist and composer -Linda Oh – was born in Malaysia (of Chinese descent), raised in Western Australia and is now living in New York City. She has played as a sideman with the likes of Kenny Barron, Steve Wilson, Slide Hampton, Wayne Escoffery and Darcy James Argue to name a few.

She will be playing a mixture of compositions from her debut trio album (featuring Ambrose Akinmusire and Obed Calvaire) some new compositions from her soon to be released quartet album (featuring Dayna Stephens, Fabian Almazan and Rudy Royston) and some traditional jazz standards.

Her music is unique and shows influence of jazz, classical, rock, free-improvisation and world music. It has been described in the New York Times as “smart, informed and hard-working – full of improvisation – the lumpy, hard-won, go-for-broke kind”.
