One of China’s most influential jazz artists and one of Canada’s most celebrated jazz artists collaborate to present original music inspired by the urban music scenes of New York, Shanghai, and Toronto. Chinese-American guitarist, Lawrence Ku, will co-lead a sextet of top Shanghai musicians to feature the music of prolific Canadian composer and pianist, David Braid. Ku and Braid combine aesthetics of melody, harmony, rhythm, and groove that satisfy audiences of both modern and traditional jazz.
