Arlene has made a dramatic impact on the Shanghai music scene since her arrival  in June 2004. She quickly became one of the most in demand singers in town and almost immediately secured regular performances at in the most prestigious venues in town namely, Grand Hyatt,
3 on the Bund, Yin le Garcon,  Cotton Club and JZ Club.

During this time she has also performed on Chinese television and produced 2 albums in China  and 2 albums in Vietnam. One of the albums entitled “Shadow in the Dark” was nominated “Best Album of 2008” at the Vietnam Grammy’s.  Though it was in collaboration with EJ Parker on Bass, Yuko Maury on Piano and guest performance by Lawrence Ku, Greg Smith and Alec Haavik  that she made her debut CD called “the Yin Story”.  Following that release, she made an unplugged duo project focusing on more pop/ r and b music with Miguel Jonsson on acoustic guitar called “Renditions”.

She has furthermore done shows for big corporate events like HSBC, Porsche, Torres Wines, Summergate, Gaggenau, Chloe, Marc Jacobs, Sergio Rossi, National Geographic, Shanghai British Ball, Dunhill, Virgin Atlantic and so forth.

Arlene has over the past years been performing at some of the top clubs and hotels in Asia and the Middle East. Hotel performances include:

Arlene’s skill, versatility and professionalism have made her a highly respected and sought after vocalist on the Asian circuit. She was invited to perform at the 2009 Penang Jazz Festival with the famous Vietnamese sax player Tranh Mahn Tuan. She has guested twice in Shanghai JZ Jazz festivals, back in 2006 and the recent Sugar Mama tribute in October 2010.
