With an internationally acclaimed music career spanning over 2 decades, Laura Fygi, the classy Dutch songstress with a unique voice performs at Jz Club to kick-off her China concert tour to celebrate her 20th anniversary as a solo artist, as well as in support of her latest album “The Best Is Yet To Come”.
Over the past two decades, Laura Fygi has proven to be among the world’s most successful jazz artists. Besides working with big names in today’s music scene such as Michael Franks, Michel Legrand, Toots Tielemans, etc., she has also toured the world, performing at big venues in Asia and Europe, including the renowned Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club.
Laura Fygi performs not only her innumerable hits from the past years but also songs from her new album. She will take audiences to experience an amazing musical journey by performing with JZ All-Star Big Band conducted by Nicholas Bouloukos, the premier jazz big band in China.
The ensemble has received critical acclaim for its weekly Saturday night shows at JZ Club; for its jazz festival dates with internationally renowned artist Dee Dee Bridgewater; and for its television appearances, including the 2010 ICS Spring Festival Gala, with Michael Wong, and the Shanghai Expo 2010 30-Day Countdown TV Special, with Laura Fygi.
